Teaching Session at EFI 2024

Join us for an interactive and educational teaching session!

We are happy to announce that we will host two teaching sessions on the opening day of the annual EFI meeting:

Morning (09:00-12:00): Towards high sensitivity in Chimerism monitoring

In the morning session, we dive deeper into chimerism monitoring and the relevance of achieving high sensitivity. Through practical examples and expert insights, we will explore the significance of sensitivity and introduce the available solutions offered by GenDx. We aim for an interactive session and have invited a guest speaker to share their experience.

Following topics will be covered:

  • Why is high sensitivity essential in chimerism monitoring?
  • Methods for chimerism monitoring by qPCR and NGS
  • Sharing experiences from the field
  • Questions and considerations when choosing a strategy

Afternoon (13:00-16:00): Hands on NGS-Turbo: High-res HLA sequencing in 3 hours

In the afternoon, our teaching session will focus on our newest product for rapid HLA typing: NGS-Turbo. We will explain how the workflow works and demonstrate the sequencing and data analysis live during the session. You will also have the opportunity to practice with loading a flow cell.

Following topics will be covered:

  • NGS-Turbo workflow and ONT sequencing explained
  • Live HLA sequencing run on MinION
  • Data analysis with NGSengine-Turbo
  • Hands-on practice on flow cell loading

There is no fee to attend the course. Attendance in the morning session includes lunch. As limited seats are available, you must register in time.

We are looking forward to meeting you at our event!

ACHI accredited: 0.45/0.9 continuing education credits (CECs) or 3.0/ 6.0 contact hours

ASHI teaching session: NGSengine masterclass & HLA typing innovations with NGS-turbo

Are you attending ASHI 2023 in San Antonio, USA? Join the GenDx Teaching session:

NGSengine masterclass & HLA typing innovations with NGS-turbo

About the course

Teaching Session at EFI 2023

We are happy to announce that also this year we will host a Teaching Session on the opening day of the annual EFI meeting.

This year we offer two sessions, an NGSengine masterclass aimed for more experienced users in the morning and an afternoon session on new sequencing technologies for HLA typing.

Morning session: NGSengine masterclass

26 April 2023, 09:00-12:00, La Cité Nantes Congress Centre, Room J

Join us to an NGSengine masterclass. NGSengine is our powerful analysis software for NGS-based typing. This event is targeted towards experienced NGSengine users that want to improve their data analysis skills. We will present some tips and tricks and discuss several challenging case studies.

Afternoon session: New sequencing technologies for HLA typing

26 April 2023, 13:30-16:30, La Cité Nantes Congress Centre, Room J

Interested to learn more about new sequencing technologies for HLA typing? In the afternoon, we organize the Teaching Session: new sequencing technologies for HLA typing. In this course, you will get updated about:

– The theory behind new sequencing techniques, including Oxford Nanopore, PacBio and MGI sequencing

– How to analyse HLA data from new generation sequencers in NGSengine: examples, case studies and bioinformatic advances

– Rapid HLA typing with NGS-Turbo

There is no fee to attend the course. Attendance to the morning session includes lunch. As limited seats are available,  we recommend that you register soon. The registration will close on April 14th.

We are looking forward to meeting you on our event!
