As a Technician R&D Oncology at GenDx, you will help design and carry out experiments to develop and improve our cutting-edge DNA/RNA diagnostic products. You will work in a motivated team, using the latest technologies, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and quality. Rather than problems, you see challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Develop new products and procedures for molecular DNA/RNA diagnostics
- Improve existing products, protocols, and procedures
- Analyze and interpret experimental results
- Organize and maintain the laboratory
- Work according to ISO 13485 standards
Requirements
- Education: HBO or WO degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
- Work experience:
- 2-3 years.
- >1 year in a commercial setting is a plus.
- Technical skills:
- Experience with DNA/RNA extraction
- Experience with ELNs or quality management systems
- Experience with PCR and NGS (Illumina and/or ONT is a plus)
- Experience with liquid handling robots is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Hands-on, independent attitude, while being a real team-player
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- You currently live near Utrecht Science Park or are willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
- To be considered for this position, you must be legally permitted to live and work in the Netherlands. Sponsorship for a work visa may not always be possible.
