As Software Developer at GenDx, you are developing and maintaining our software packages for HLA typing and chimerism monitoring, which are used for transplantation purposes worldwide. You are able to take the end-user’s perspective, and to work both client- and product-oriented. For you, it is of utmost importance that every end user can implement and use the GenDx software packages intuitively. You excel both when working individually and when working in a team. You see challenges rather than problems and resolve complex issues based on different approaches.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and development of our software packages.
  • Development and implementation of new software tools.
  • Documentation and administration of design work.
  • Assisting Customer Support in answering questions about our software.
  • Working according to ISO 13485 standards.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics, (Bio)Informatics, Computer Sciences, or equivalent. This can either be a PhD, MSc or B.ASc degree, with your prior education being VWO.
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with software development.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency with C#, Visual Studio, Delphi, and SQL databases as well as familiarity with molecular diagnostics (e.g. DNA sequencing and related analyses software) are highly preferred.

As a Technical Support Specialist at GenDx you have an extensive knowledge of molecular biology and techniques such as quantitative real-time PCR, DNA sequencing, and related analysis software. In order to resolve specific technical issues, you empathize with customers that are using our products and
provide them with support by e-mail. Naturally, you are an enthusiastic and driven person, who communicates clearly and enjoys solving complex issues.

 

Responsibilities

  • Resolving customers’ technical issues by answering their questions.
  • Using and developing our CRM system.

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology.
  • Familiarity with immunological matters, especially the HLA gene family, is preferred.

GenDx supports the 18th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop (18IHIW) which is co-chaired by Eric Spierings PhD, UMCU, and Sebastiaan Heidt PhD, LUMC. This global collaboration is focussed on advancing scientific knowledge in the field of immunogenetics, ultimately aiming at enhancing transplantation outcomes. The workshop will be concluded with a symposium in Amsterdam in May 2021. For the workshop, various groups around the globe are collecting data that will be shared via a database in the cloud. To enable and support this exchange of data, GenDx is looking for a

IHIW Database Manager (Bioinformatician MSc/PhD)

to facilitate smooth and efficient global interaction by storing and retrieving data in the cloud

 

As IHIW Database Manager at GenDx, you will set up and maintain the database for the 18IHIW. Naturally, you make sure that all global participants are able to easily store and retrieve data stored in the cloud. You excel both when working on your own and in a team. You see challenges rather than problems and resolve complex issues based on different approaches. The IHIW Database Manger will be working at GenDx HQ in Utrecht, The Netherlands, and your work will be supported by our GenDx Software team. You will support the two chairmen of the IHIWS, who are based in Leiden and Utrecht. Therefore, this position includes regular travel to these locations. In addition, some international travelling is expected.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and development of databases that are stored in the cloud.
  • Documentation and administration.
  • Assisting participants in answering technical questions and/or providing hands-on support on the use of the cloud database.
  • Facilitating the IHIWS group leaders with all their database questions and needs.

 

Requirements

  • Academic level (MSc of PhD) in Mathematics, (Bio)Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Skilled in database management, such as MS SQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience with the coordination of (software) projects
  • Familiar with jhipster (jhipster.tech) and Amazon Web Services.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and preferably Dutch (or willing to learn the Dutch language).
  • Proficiency with software development (C#, Visual Studio, Delphi, Python, Java) as well as familiarity with immunogenetics or genomics is strongly preferred.

Als Financieel Administratief Medewerker bij GenDx verricht je financiële en administratieve taken voor de boekhouding van GenDx en haar dochterondernemingen. In deze functie werk je samen met en rapporteer je aan de CFO. Je weet precies wanneer je moet informeren dan wel informatie moet halen. Verantwoordelijkheden

  • Monitoren van het facturatie- en betalingsproces.
  • Invoeren van de financiële administratie.
  • Het (mede) opstellen van financiële rapportages, BTW/ICP aangiften en grootboekcontroles.
  • Ondersteunen bij de jaarlijkse accountantscontrole.
  • Werken volgens de ISO 13485 kwaliteitsstandaard.

 

Functie-eisen

  • Afgeronde MBO 4 of HBO opleiding, in de richting financiële administratie of bedrijfsadministratie.

  • Uitstekende kennis van boekhouden en Excel.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage the North American team of technical support and logistics personnel
