At GenDx, we recognize the importance of contributing to a more sustainable future — both within healthcare and across our own operations.

Today, we are proud to share our first public Sustainability Report, which relates to 2025.

The report gives an overview of the sustainability initiatives and practices currently in place across GenDx, covering areas such as environmental impact, employee wellbeing, waste reduction, operational efficiency, and governance.

Some examples highlighted in the report include:

  • Promoting low-carbon commuting, with 87% of office-based employees commuting by bicycle, walking, or public transport
  • Recycling laboratory gloves through the RightCycle program
  • Returning Oxford Nanopore flow cells for recycling
  • Reducing packaging materials and increasing reuse initiatives
  • Supporting employee wellbeing through programs such as OpenUp and Olympos sports memberships

This report is an important first step towards a more structured and data-driven approach to sustainability reporting at GenDx. While it is not yet a comprehensive carbon footprint or materiality assessment, we believe it is important to start sharing our progress and building transparency around our efforts.

As part of this journey, GenDx is also working with Greenly to better understand and measure our environmental footprint and support future reporting efforts.

We know there is still work to do, but we are committed to continuing to improve and further integrate sustainability into our operations and decision-making.
