Teaching Session | 36th Annual ASHI Meeting | Hollywood, Florida

Our 2nd Teaching Session in 2010 is scheduled to take place ahead of the 36th annual ASHI meeting on Sunday 26th September 2010 in the conference hotel; the Westin Diplomat, Hollywood, Florida.

We have been running our Teaching Sessions for 6 years and they are now fully accredited by ABHI. All participants receive 7 hours/1.05 CEC's continuing education. The course is free and lunch is included.

The course is designed to provide participants with theory and practice in high resolution sequence based typing using SBTengine and is a combination of presentations and hands-on data analysis. Presentations and instruction will be provided by Dr Erik Rozemuller and Dr Wietse Mulder and program topics will include:

  • Solving ambiguities and coming to a final genotype assessment using SBTengine
  • Various issues of current interest including the new nomenclature and dealing with null alleles
