FIT TO DONATE
GenDx goes the extra mile in September, the month of the World Marrow Donor Day. We’re taking things quite literally this year, as we decided on a fundraising event that was inspired by our signature Tulip Run, which we normally organize at big conferences like EFI and ASHI. All proceeds from the ‘FIT TO DONATE’ initiative go to Matchis, the Dutch Center for Stem Cell Donors.

Allele Frequency Net Database
GenDx is a proud sponsor of the AFDN (Allele Frequency Net Database) website. AFND is a very useful tool for researchers as they can search population frequencies of several immune genes such as Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA), Killer-cell Immunoglobulin-like Receptors (KIR), Major histocompatibility complex class I chain-related (MIC) genes, and a number of cytokine gene polymorphisms. It contains information at allele, haplotype and genotype level depending on the polymorphism.

Our team is committed to develop innovative products and actively support charities and institutions that share our mission. It is therefore with pride that we support the Give & Live Cycling Club. We are honored that our colleague Henk van Laar had the opportunity to climb the Mont Ventoux together with a group of donors and transplant athletes in June 2022. In 2024, Marcin Braams and Bart Valkenburg joined the Give& Live team in their journey to the summit.

IPD-IMGT/HLA Database
GenDx is a silver sponsor of the International Immunogenetics Information system (IMGT database), globally used and daily reference for the whole HLA community. IPD was developed in 2003 to provide a centralized system for the study of polymorphism in genes of the immune system. The IPD project was established by the HLA Informatics Group of the Anthony Nolan Research Institute in close collaboration with the European Bioinformatics Institute.
Sports Center Olympos
At GenDx, we believe in the motto of Sports Center Olympos: ‘Mens sana in corpore sano’. Therefore, all employees are granted access to the sport facilities of Olympos, and the costs are fully borne by GenDx. Sports Center Olympos is located at Utrecht Science Park, which is also home to Utrecht University and other top research institutions, innovative companies, and student housing complexes. Together, this mix of science, students, sport and commerce creates a dynamic climate in which people can work and study.
