GenDx – Personalising Diagnostics

GenDx is a leader in the field of high-resolution HLA typing and related molecular diagnostic testing. The global company develops and markets innovative diagnostic tests, software, services and education in close collaboration with renowned business partners. Building on this sound basis, GenDx is broadening its focus to personalised medicine through in-house development and third-party products. Founded in 2005, GenDx implemented ISO quality assurance systems in 2009 and received CE-IVD marking for its complete line of HLA typing products in 2011. In and beyond the field of tissue typing, GenDx strives to make patients benefit from its unique, personal approach to diagnostics.

2012 GenDx Training School in Utrecht

The 7th annual GenDx Training School will once again take place at our offices and labs in Utrecht from Wednesday 21st - Friday 23rd March 2012 (finishing at lunchtime). There are still a few places available. Please click here for more information.

GenDx Sponsoring Wadden Symposium

GenDx is pleased to support the Wadden Symposium, this year being held from 24th - 27th June on the island of Texel, in the Wadden Sea, just off the Dutch coast.The Wadden symposia provide a scientific platform for implementation of developments in the area of immune and stem cell therapies into the Dutch healthcare system.

GenDx Extends Sponsorship of IMGT/HLA Database

We are also proud to announce our renewed support of the IMGT/HLA database, a specialist database for sequences of the human major histocompatibility complex (HLA). This includes the official sequences for the WHO Nomenclature Committee For Factors of the HLA System. The IMGT/HLA Database is part of the international ImMunoGeneTics project (IMGT).

CE-IVD Marking for GenDx Diagnostic Reagents Complete

We are pleased to announce the addition of HLA-DQA1 and DPA1 to our range of CE-IVD marked HLA typing reagents. This follows the successful CE-IVD marking of our HLA–A, B, C, DRB1, DRB3/4/5, DQB1 and DPB1 products, reported back in September (see press release), and means all GenDx diagnostic reagents for HLA typing now conform to the highest European quality standard in the field. Besides confirming the high quality of GenDx products, this marking enables us to increase our support to academic institutes and blood banks involved in solid organ or stem cell transplantation.
